Anne Marie has two distinct areas of her creative practise. She has her work relating to folklore and the countryside which includes; annually publishing The Country Wisdom & Folklore Diary (as a way of trying to keep alive the old ways), folklore based artwork/illustration and running workshops and talks relating to this area. She is a roving collector of folklore ways and superstitions of the British Isles.

Her other creative practise is as an artist where she creates paintings, prints and 3d responses to her environment in a non-representative way. She uses methods of glazing and layering akin to the old masters to make contemporary pieces. Anne Marie often makes her own paints, uses gilding and develops different oils/varnishes to create subtle layering. She runs occasional bespoke workshops relating to painting techniques such as icon painting, old masters and developing abstract imagery.
