Let's Talk About Fungi.

We are thrilled to announce that Boundary Way’s Project co-ordinator Holly Pleydell has achieved success with her application for Youth Award funding from Grow Wild UK and the National Lottery Community Fund. Holly has devised a brand new project combining investigations into fungi with an artistic commission, entitled 'Let's Talk About Fungi'.

The grant for £500 will kickstart research into the world of fungi in our landscape. We are delighted to be supporting Holly with this work, which will help us to continue exploring natural heritage at Boundary Way. Holly will be recording the fungi species on the site and finding out more about their important interrelationships with plants and trees. She will be working with local artist Kanj Nicholas who will be creating new drawings and paintings inspired by these discoveries. ! We will also be exhibiting Kanj’s new pieces later this year. Having completed her Gold Arts Award late last year, this project is a great natural progression for Holly and we can't wait to see how 'Let's Talk About Fungi' develops.
