Hannah at Boundary Way
Hannah Boyd works in a variety of Media exploring Materials, Public Space and Social Commentary. She has a BA in Ceramics, a Master’s Degree in Fine Art and works collaboratively with different Visual Artists, Poets and Dancers. Last year she created an art piece called Ghost Dinner Party, which can be seen here http://ghostdinnerparty.blogspot.co.uk/ and before that she engaged people in an environmental piece called Embodied Place, sectioning off an area of public land she invited people to document it and see how their perceptions of the place changed after the event. Hannah uses art to draw people’s attention towards disused environments, highlighting their overlooked potential using temporary Art, and her shared studio, ‘The Art Room’, at Newhampton Art Centre to develop her own practice and deliver varied art workshops.Click here for Hannah's Blog
Kanj with some of her felt work
Kanj Nicholas creates uplifting clay and ceramic paintings, oil paintings and felted textiles, having gained a BA in Textile Design from RMIT in Melbourne, Australia. Growing up in Sri Lanka left her with a lifelong passion for bold, uplifting colours which are woven through her art and bind it together. She finds inspiration in nature’s shapes, textures and vibrant colours, and is a proud plot holder at a local allotment. Kanj uses a spontaneous and free approach to create her felt work, which was recently exhibited at Bantock House and mirrored her love of nature. Her future ambition is to run workshops for adults and children in felting, pottery and ceramic painting and also in cookery.

Sue Chand uses traditional methods of making to develop works of natural fibres and paper. She embraces cloth as a custodian of stories, personal stories of life changing events and how fragile yet resilient we are. Sue is interested in contrasting textures and the structure of cloth; how fragile it can appear but with strength that allows it to last a lifetime. She has developed the use of her own twisted paper yarn and woven fabrics alongside other processes and materials and this is all woven with stories. She hopes to experiment with the nature at Boundary Way to create art.Click here for Sue's Website
