The Crafty Gardener

The Crafty Gardener is a community interest company that was formed in April 2016. We provide a range of learning opportunities through our short courses and local community projects.

The Crafty Gardener also provides meaningful day activities and employment related support for people who have a learning disability, autism or mental health needs.

More Information

The Crafty Gardener provides services that support people to develop a range of practical and personal skills. We do this using horticulture and crafts activities which help people to build the confidence to ‘have a go’, practice new skills and to work alongside other people.

Our allotment base gives people the opportunity to be in the fresh air, taking gentle exercise, eating fresh food produced there and enjoying good company.

The Crafty Gardener also sells plants, crafts and cakes at local events and provides a garden maintenance service to local people to give our participants opportunities to experience new places and people.

The Crafty Gardener is a Wolverhampton City Council micro-provider and is also a registered learning provider. As a not for profit company, the Crafty Gardener has an asset lock in place and only works in ways that benefit our communities.
